How old is too old?
Most alarms have an expiry date on the back. Most last about 10 years.
What does interconnected mean?
When one alarm senses smoke, every alarm in the house sounds.
Do I need hardwired alarms?
It depends on the age of the home and any recent work. I'll check against current SA rules and tell you.
